Derelict Thursday: Day of the Beasty

After not sleeping well at all last night between the heat and worry,I was up early to ensure Marie had 500ml of gator Aide before surgery today. This was requested by the Anaesthetist,as Marie's surgery was going to take a while it would give her an energy boost. I helped wheel Marie to the Theatre doors kissed her told her I love her and then it was a case of staying busy for 4 hours plus. Maries Surgery went well and Mr Roadley phoned me and said he had removed the tumor and cut the Cancer out and it was just as the Scans showed it and was able to join things up so Marie has a Temporary Bag which is great news. Marie went to  Theatre at 08:30 and was in the Ward where I was waiting for her at 16:00. Marie has a Central Line in, which is just below her Collar Bone and goes down into the Superior Vena Cava where fluids and Pain Relief can be administered as her Veins are hard to find. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and best wishes. Today we made Maries Beasty Derelict well better than that we made it homeless and sent it packing. Marie is in good Spirits and Hungry ( did not help when she watched Master Chef). Now we can say Marie is on the road to recovery.
