Wicked!

One wonderful special exhibit at the Road to California Quilt Show was this one, featuring small quilts inspired by the musical "Wicked." The exhibit was sponsored by Cherrywood Fabrics, specializing in hand-dyed cotton fabrics. Contestants were required to purchase a small package of fabric, and had to use a recognizable amount of each in the quilt, plus other fabrics of their choice. I love this play, having seen it twice--once at the elegant Pantages Theater in LA and once at the equally ornate Oriental Theater in Chicago. I've ordered a book being published with photos of all the quilts in it. Delivery is in three to four weeks, and I can hardly wait!
