Monday 21 May 2012: Weary Bee
She really has been working her butt off. She is just about half way through her exams and tomorrow is a study day. Which is a welcome relief. I took her for a bit of retail therapy. She 'needed' a new dress for her beloveds first gig. We are not quite sure why the cashier at Topshop added his employee discount to our purchase. We thought better about mentioning it.
It would seem a rat got to my baby birds. We removed the nest from the ten foot long vent to find them in pieces. I must confess to feeling rather broken hearted. I am making sure to block up the vent properly. I am also going to put a new bird box out of reach of vermin. They might come back again next year.
