Kinda Horrigans

Monday 21 May 2012: I used to be a fighter...

815/365: ... in his heart, I think he still is. But Buster, our local grumpy feral cat, is looking pretty worse for wear these days. I don't know how much longer he's going to last. I fed him this evening and half wondered whether it was worth trying to get him in a cat basket and to the vet. It wouldn't be easy at all though. Buster is anything but tame. In fact, the only reason I think he accepted food this evening was because he really isn't feeling at all well. Hmmm...

Anyhoo. This is Buster. Poor old Buster.

Good stuff today? The sun came back!! Not this morning when I was driving to work and the sky was that dirty white 'can't even be bothered to make clouds' sadness. But this afternoon. And for the first time in ages I had to drive home wearing sunglasses! Wooo hooooo!!!

Getting home I was met by a quiet house. Nick and Felix had gone to pick Maddy up from school as she was late getting home because they'd been on a school trip today. She was all boingy and happy about it too - which is surprising because beforehand she'd been acting as if she wasn't going to go through with going. She did - and her favourite bit? The coach trip there! And back... obviously. You can just imagine the giggling involved. They'd gone to some festival - SELF - but it sounded kinda disappointing (though this is just the version we heard from Maddy!) since they ended up watching films and not really doing their normal hands-on approach to learning. It's a pity really because on their curriculum this year has been farming and den building (got to love Steiner schools!) and it's been really practical. Ah well... at least the coach trip was fun, right?!

We also got to eat dinner on the patio and for the first time in a while I had to water the veggie patch. Hooray for a bit of sunshine!

PS Am dying for a cuppa cha...
PPS ... don't suppose anyone fancies making me one?
PPPS Haven't had one since this morning - after a day so crammed full of meetings I didn't manage a gap between meetings from 9am to 4pm!
