Life Is Pootiful

The wedding crashers

Daisy and I visited Holyrood Park this morning and, after feeding the swans on St Margaret's Loch, walked up to St Anthony's Chapel to admire the views across the city. Unfortunately the sun we'd been promised hadn't materialised (thankfully it eventually showed its face in the afternoon and we lounged around in the garden) but it was worth the climb anyway. The skyline never fails to impress, the Park is an oasis of calm, and the ruined Chapel is eerie and evocative.

There was a wedding ceremony underway at the Chapel, with me and Daisy gatecrashing what was a very private affair - the happy couple, a registrar and a lady who wandered over and asked us to keep our distance and stay quiet. The latter request had the opposite effect on Daisy, who promptly began to shout at the top of the voice. We made a sharp exit back down the hill!
