Saturday 19 May 2012: Tea time with Martin
Big R and I traveled to Spokane yesterday and today Martin took us out for a belated Mother's Day tea. It was delightful and was also a very special tea house with a purpose so it really fit the bill! The tea house is a non-profit organization providing help to woman's shelters---temporary employment working here helps provide them with some skill to re-enter the workforce. Plus it is a nurturing environment for them.
Additionally the tea selection was superb and the food delicious. We had some veggie quiche and scones. The decor was lovely as were the tea settings. They also had a large variety of tea goodies to purchase if one desired to. What a lovely gift Martin:):) Thank you!
Afterwards he took us to see the beautiful lilac trees in Manto Park! A superb day:)
