Busted.

Home early today to let an electrician look at our bust kitchen lights. Turns out it was a duff dimmer switch right on the cusp of it's rating. 

Well it turns out if you come home early and the sun is still in the sky you will find a cat in the only sunny part of the house. I don't think anything would have made him move from this position till the sun went down.
