One Crowded Hour

victoria park

Today I went down to a Perth suburb near the city where my elder lad has just bought a house, and, as he lives in the middle of nowhere I was doing the final inspection on his behalf.

Vic Park was a tad dodgy in olden times but is now a thriving, funky place with a coffee strip and sidewalks bursting with cafes and restaurants, galleries, asian grocers and op shops and more car yards than 'you can poke a stick at!'
A curious combination but there again so is the food on offer with Nepalese, Indian, Japanese, Lebanese, Greek, Italian and Burmese restaurants jostling for space.
I had lunch in The Little Imp cafe and tapas bar and averted eyes at the Baskins Robbins icecream parlour.
Walking back to the car, spotted this great piece, one of three glowing over the centre median illuminated by a big, bright sun.
