Aperture on Life

Crinan Ferry

This is the view from my Father and Diana's terrace at Crinan Ferry. It was by no means a spectacular sunset this evening and this is directly from the camera as I have no editing software... not even to crop and image.

The mountains in the background are the Paps of Jura. In front of those you can see the Black Rock and Craignish Point. Depending on the tides you can often see a 10 foot standing wave in the distance as the Atlantic and inshore waters meet!

The weather has been superb! Father wanted to have special steaks for my return and we dined on the terrace with the firepit filled with smoking peat to keep the midges off.

Diana and I took the dogs for a walk and were eaten alive... the midges are early and severe! On our return we had to go through the dogs coats carefully as the midges are not the only insects to be about in abundance. The ticks are tremendous!

Dad, Diana and have had a wonderful time and polished off a rather high quantity of good wine.

Why can't I stay here forever? It's so beautiful!!
