Tuesday 22 May 2012: Very British sunbathing
Catch it while you can... A very British way to enjoy some seaside sunshine, just lie down, fully clothed.
This reminded me of old photos and film of British seaside resorts in the 1930's, when beachwear was a tweed jacket (occasionally removed) and flat cap. And the same for men too!
Nevertheless, its very uplifting to have some decent weather again, even if in Scarborough, it was very windy. I felt a bit sand-blasted while I walked along the seafront.
And now it's a glorious, blue sky, sunny evening, and it'll stay light until really quite late. Hurrah!
