Royal Observatory, Blackford Hill, Edinburgh

A big change in the weather brought a damp and dreich day to Edinburgh. Tom and I walked through the Hermitage of Braid and up on to Blackford Hill, which gives fine views of the city, although these were colourless and dull today. The buildings of the Royal Observatory are prominent on the hill and this is the East Tower's copper dome which houses a telescope
