Wednesday 23 May 2012: Hampton ferryman
I've got several regular sights I see on my bike ride to the gym I mentally save for when I think you've had to many scary gym shots.
I really like this very quaint service offered as Hampton Ferry. The 'captain' waits on the Sunbury side until someone rings the bell (a proper bell, none of your electrified nonsense) then he cruises expertly across to pick up his ride. I don't yet know if you have to pay. Maybe he collects souls. Theres a cool misty early morning haze across the river.
If I was the ferryman I'd definitely dress in a hooded cloak and have scarily tattooed skeleton hands. This guys far too affable looking.
