It seems like no accidental death can go unmarked these days without sticking a bunch of cheap supermarket flowers to a railing.

It's like loved ones get together and think "What can we do to mark (insert name here)'s death in a special way? I know! Let's do something cheap, tacky and kitsch - it's surely how they'd like to be remembered!"

I'd like to call this the Diana Syndrome.
