Wednesday 23 May 2012: Yellow flag at Bullfield Lake

It's been two week since I've cycled to my favourite local lakes. Managed to escape early afternoon and spent an hour wandering around with my camera and binoculars.

Yellow flag (which I suppose are like wild irises) were just appearing in several places around the shore. Bullfield Lake is the smaller of two reclaimed gravel pits at Radley Lakes - see my previous Radley Lakes blips for more info.

It was just so glorious there. I had real trouble choosing which blip: it was a toss up between this one, a purple carpet of wild flowers (sorry this link was wrong earlier), a sunny view of the other lake, or this May blossom.
