Wednesday 23 May 2012: Quiet lunch time
It has been sunny and hot all day. I led an eleven mile a 10ish mile walk from Birdoswald Roman Fort and through lovely farming land we had not walked before. We all found the new temperatures rather hard to cope with and our lunch stop at Lees Hill Quarry was very welcome. I was there the other day, doing a recce.
I decided that these 2 deserved a mono approach.
We ended the walk with a welcome visit to the cool of the Black Bull in Haltwhistle.
