What another beautiful day and too good to waste sleeping off the night shift so only had 3 hours in the end! After a strong coffee i decided to visit my park that i've rather neglected recently, and once there i got chatting with a chap who told me about the nesting woodpeckers and walked me round to show me. I know this isn't the clearest picture, i had to use the zoom and my hands were a bit wobbly, but i was in awe as i saw the chick popping his head out a small hole chirping frantically until it's parent came back with food. Wow! :-)
