Wednesday 23 May 2012: Save on Gas--and I did!
Returning yesterday from New York City we had to fill up a bit to get back to Northampton without running out--but today I got my reward! We buy our gas at Stop & Shop (a supermarket chain), after earning gas points for shopping. View this large for all the impressive details :)
I pumped a full tank of 11.7 gallons at $3.25 per gallon, 50 cents per gallon off the posted price of $3.75 per gallon, saving a total of $5.85 (more than ever before, by my recollection). My wife had earned 20-30 cents per gallon from a special deal at the store a couple of weeks ago; she's always on the lookout for that sort of saving, and it helps a bit to keep us afloat :)
