Vineyard Tree

Goodness me I thought, it's a bit warmer this morning and The Boss inspected the weather thingie on the wall and declared it to be 11 degrees. There was a completely spectacular sunrise this morning and at one stage The Boss was almost hanging out his studio window but as we were heading towards Cromwell this afternoon we (yes we) decided to blip something down that way instead.
When The Boss and Bossess first came to live here (pre T), there was agricultural madness occurring between Wanaka and Cromwell as agricultural land was being sold off as Vineyards at amazing prices and hence the great wine glut got started. There are a lot of vineyards now in this and adjacent areas on the other side of Lake Dunstan but the symmetry always attracts from a photographic point of view so this was the thinking as we headed down the road in pursuit of the light this afternoon.
The view across the lake is really a morning affair (memo to The Boss...What about a morning affair on the other side sometime) but The Boss's attention was lingering left so I grumped and he pulled over, grabbed his camera and crossed the road to the right, possibly trespassed a teeny tiny bit and the rest is history. Yes I did get a reward for this about 30 minutes later but there was a "non disclosure" agreement so I can't tell you about it now.
BUT as Homer would say Wo Hoo!
