Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

To Market, to Market

“To Market, to market, to buy a fat pig,
Home again, home again, jiggity jig”

Having been here 8 days, today we made the trip by boat to Galiano Island and then car to the market for just a few fresh veggies and fruit and milk…..no way would I buy anything that has to do with a pig, but it makes me think of the nursery rhyme.    This wonderful little market has excellent organic and local when possible food —there is another little store across the road where you can buy anything else like ginger ale or regular ice cream and canned stuff, and a less than stirling selection of wine.  The Market gets its routine delivery on thursdays so Friday is the popular day to shop.—it wouldn’t have mattered for what I needed but it just worked out today and we were in and out before the first ferry arrived from the mainland.   I liked this photo with the cars in front and the reflection in our 1998 Volvo.  It’s a very colorful spot.

A chat with the first people other than the tree guys we have seen in a week….. then we have to hurry home again and we’re set for some more days!!   Bliss.

Thank you for all the nice comments stars and hearts for that dabbling duck yesterday.   I did not see them today!
