Thursday 24 May 2012: Best Demo
Had to head out at lunch and decided to skirt the newly reduced red zone/inner city cordon. Wow, there's a lot going on and some pretty exciting stuff. Diggers, cranes, trucks, the place is like a war/construction zone.
Fantastic to see so much happening, along with all the big buildings now being dismantled, such as the one in the background here.
Funniest moment however was seeing this sign. It's the old Parkroyal, now reduced to rubble, and voted (by whom I wonder) the best demo. Classic.
Going to take the kids in over the weekend. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a city being dismantled.
