Thursday 24 May 2012: Castle and Water of Leith from Warriston

A glorious, glorious day - although not quite as clear as previous sunny days in this spell of good weather. I've taken this photo before, but I thought it was worth a revisit.

I took a slightly circuitous cycle to work this morning, going around the north Edinburgh cycle paths and through the relatively recently re-opened tunnel under Broughton Street into George V Park, past the site of the former Scotland Street station and the now totally disappeared Edinburgh Gymnasium. I photographed the sign board which gives more information about all of this. Absolutely none of this now visible. It's funny how things change/disappear...

It's amazing what you can learn about lost Edinburgh and it does help to keep the Blip mojo going.
