Early light

Woke up to dramatic early light in Cumbria, swiftly followed by heavy rain. It was quite a change from yesterday, when it was a beautiful clear day, if rather chilly.

We set off after breakfast with a local mission, a nearby destination I needed to visit for a magazine story. By the time we headed onto the M6 to begin the long trip south, it was late morning, and it was snowing.

Snow turned to sleet and back to rain by the time we were passing near Manchester, and it was wet wet wet all the rest of the way. It was good to reach home, even though just for a few hours, as I'm off again for a car launch tomorrow.
