Thursday 17 May 2012: The 'dam

It's been a long time coming - I have travelled all over the world but never made it to Amsterdam. About a month or so ago I saw a coach ticket from London to Amsterdam for £4 and decided to book...perhaps it was the wine that encouraged me. Anyway, I arrived last night...that was after a 12 hour journey under the Channel, through France, Belgium and Holland.

Last night was intense. I met up with an old friend and went out at about midnight...Needless to say today was tough - but we managed to see a lot of the city. It really is a cool place, but photography skills were off. Best I could manage, a few doors down from Anne Frank Huis - but pretty much sums up EVERY terrace in the 'dam.
