A Red Letter Day

.... or at least it's a blip birthday for me today.
This rather lovely hexagonal Victorian post box in Ilkley caught my eye as there aren't so many of them.
Having done a little research for the benefit of you blippers, this box is, in fact, grade II listed and one of only two in Yorkshire. It was made during the reign of Queen Victoria in 1875 and was originally sited at Peel place in Bradford city centre. It moved to Middleton Road in Ilkley in 1925 when Peel place was redeveloped.
