Friday 25 May 2012: Arum Lily !!

I really like Arum Lilies they are so musical like trumpets and just perfection in nature .
Well this morning has been busy as usual , a lovely sunny start to the day .
I trimmed a hedge, had a bonfire early scared the sh... out of me I didn't realize it was so dry it went up like a house on fire enormous flames but alright in the end . I unfortunately had to cut back to ground level a really old rose that has passed away it was a climber and has been here as long as I can remember. Cleaned out the bottom shed in the wood and whitewashed the south facing glass on the greenhouse to act as a sunscreen it's the first time I've done this but I read that it was a good thing to do,will have to see .It can easily get up to 40c in there and in past years leaves on the tomato plants have curled up . It's going to be hot so the sun blinds are out and the fans on and I'm going to work in and around the pond this afternoon it's the coolest place to be !
