Friday 25 May 2012: Lady's Mantle with Jewels

I've been waiting for this moment all spring. The Lady's Mantle holds water on it like a duck's back and it's usually quite pretty after rain or with morning dew. But there are times when every leaf tip is dotted with a water drop. On my way to sit on the porch to photograph the bushtits (no babies spotted yet!) I noticed the bejeweled plant with the sun shining on it and got sidetracked for awhile. I took a lot of photos, it was hard to pick just one, so there's a slideshow on Photobucket.
