Bunker

A casemate in the Grebbe line, the main Dutch defensive line against a German attack from the east in WW2. When the Netherlands were invaded in May 1940, one of the main battles was the fight for this line, which lasted a few days. Besides 250 Germans over 400 Dutch troops lost their lives here, who are now buried at the nearby Military War Cemetery Grebbeberg.
