Surf Rescue

The summer is behind us. Autumn brings cooler weather flat seas and next to nobody on the beach.

This is an ideal time for the surf club to train the drivers of the surf rescue boats. Today a group of "trainees" were on Cottesloe Beach as I went for my early morning walk.

The fellow was as proud as punch as he headed for shore...that is until he didnt stop in time and went "a over t".

I sent a copy of this shot to his instructor who claimed with a smile on his face that the photo would cost the trainee a round of beers at the pub later in the day.
