Saturday 26 May 2012: Reflected light
This bright sunny weather is so lovely. The sun is reflecting off a car window into the living room, which is normally in shade this time of day. The pattern of the net curtains is projected on the wall and I can see how fast the earth is rotating as it has already moved off while I have been fiddling with images and writing.
The kaleidoscope image is one of mine that I have had printed on to a canvas and I am really pleased how it has come out. It's just resting on the heater which isn't on for me to take it in and decide whether it is suitable to give as a present as I intended.
There is a streak of blue on the wall. I have been filling plaster cracks a tried to touch up with the paint that my mum left from when she decorated it over ten years ago. But either the walls have faded, or the colour has sunk to the bottom of the pot, or it isn't the right one. Anyway it's too dark so back to the drawing board on that plan.
Oh damn! After posting I have just realised through notification that this is my 500th blip. I'd like to say I planned this image for that and how blip has made me see the extraordinary in the ordinary, but alas no. I am obviously not as excited by 500 as I was by 100. I am also hampered by the fact it appears that Virginmedia is blocking my access to blip as I can get on fine via my mobile broadband but not at all from all computers and devices in my house via my Virginmedia broadband and yet all other internet connection and sites seem to be OK. Anyone else having probs?
