Saturday 26 May 2012: Oh Josephine
The sun is well up and I am itching to get outside for an earlyish walk with the dogs before it becomes too hot for them. I can't believe I am saying this up here!! Just loving it though.
This is a clematis called Josephine which we planted some six years ago and I think this is the best I have seen it. The wall is covered in these magnificent blooms. You can see the various stages of the blossoming here, for as the flower matures the central big "bud" unfurls to reveal yet more pretty pink frillies.
