#31 Isla del Sol

We got up early and had the best breakfast everrrr at a little cafe run by an Irish woman and her husband. Never thought I'd be eating homemade Irish soda bread in Bolivia. Our boat to Isla del Sol, the island where apparently the sun was created by the Inca Gods, was pretty crammed with people but the views on the way made up for it. We got dropped off at the North of the island and found a (v basic) place to stay that night. After grabbing lunch we did the trek from the north to the south of the island, seeing amazing views but somehow taking a strange route and seeing hardly anyone else along the way. We got to the south pretty exhausted and looked for the mysterious boat to take us back to where we were staying, which it turned out we had either missed or it just never existed. Much to the amusement of all the locals sitting on the beach, we ended up paying £6 each for a private boat back so we didn't end up wandering back along the island in the dark.
