Wilko Johnson

If you don't know of Wilko Johnson, look him up.
One time member of Doctor Feelgood, Wilko Johnson has had his own band for a good few years now and is absolutely fantastic live (Example here ).
2 years ago he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given 10 months to live.
He then set about on a Farewell Tour.
When he was still alive after a year he was advised to go and get checked again (he hadn't even seen a Doctor since his diagnosis).
They found that by a miracle the growth, which was now the size of a football, was growing in a different place to what it should and they thought they may be able to operate.
After an 11 hour groundbreaking operation at Addenbrooks Hospital, the growth and half his stomach was removed...but Wilko was cancer free.
A year on, tonight was his comeback gig, with all proceeds going to the Hospital.

A great night, very emotional, and after seeing Wilkos's 'farewell' concert it was great to be at 'The comeback'.
