A very lovely day out in London to meet Miranda1008 and go and see the Rubens exhibition at the Royal Academy.  I was expecting purely an abundance of abundant flesh, but the exhibition was focussed on the influence of Rubens on other artists during his lifetime and continuing to the present day.    So we were treated to not only abundant flesh, but also a wide range of abundant talent..... quite wonderful.

Then followed a very long lunch before we sadly parted company ....

I decided to walk back to Victoria via Green Park, past Buckingham Palace and through the builders yard which seems to have sprung up around Victoria - there are a few pics here if interested ....


The picture is of reflections a sculpture in the RA courtyard called "Wooden Star Inflated Star" by US artist Frank Stella.  If you look closely you can see me in it - taking the picture.
