Packing

With our last day in the Philippines beginning today it meant putting everything we had back into one bag. It takes a little planning & then sheer determination to make it all happen. But it always happens.

Dubbed The Little Red Caboose, our vehicle today was a 'local' experience.
Went to a lookout. It just happened to have a ZipLine. 750m over 4 stages. Some fast. Others had ladders & stairs that challenged my vertigo. But we did it. Of course.
Then on to a place with so many love hearts you miss the fact the peafowl are cooped up & without water in cages. But the talking bird was amusing - he obviously experiences a lot of nationalities!! The grounds are immaculate & amusing in places.
Butterfly avery was good because the guide was knowledgable. The condition in the cages was appalling - I don't like zoos. Not since watching BlackFish. The tribal village felt somewhat awkward, but interesting.
Stopped at the bay - it's defiantly not a daytime activity. Hot & dry and a ghost town feel. Snap & go.
Last stop - a place for lunch. Not sure it was the menu that caught our attention as much as it was the view out to sea. Perhaps that is what we had been missing.

But it's time to move onto our next stop. Borneo. It was sad farewelling our Palawan 'family' at the airport. They made the trip even more interesting & fun along the way. We thank you for your generous spirit.
But for now we've a long night ahead of short flights & transit lounges. 17:55 to Manila. 23:00 to Kota Kinabalu. 06:40 to Sandakan to start our tour at 9am Sunday.
It's 16:30 Friday afternoon.
