Sunday 27 May 2012: Heron Babies Getting Bigger!!!
Got a chance to get out to the dog park where the heron rookery is and saw a few of the babies! They are so hard to see much less photograph so here is my best attempt today. The three here wee up a bit with one even attempting to climb out onto the branch---brave one. That is why they are fenced off as some do fall and then nature takes it's course with hopefully a parent caring for them. Here the one is out on the branch..they are waiting for the parents to come feed them and they are loudly squawking.
