My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Chatsworth

With us both having a weekend with no work and nothing planned we decided, last minute, to have a weekend away.

We spent most of the morning driving in rain across the Peak District over to Chatsworth, and, with perfect timing, the rain eased so that we could be nice and dry as we wandered around the house & gardens until we reached the Emperor fountain.
That was where the wind was whipping the spray around like this and making sure that everyone got a little damp at least.

Although that was nothing compared to how wet we got in a torrential downpour as we walked from our hotel, in Prestbury, to the Italian restaurant about 200 yards away.
