BLOSSOM TIME

It's time for the nectarella in the back yard to flower again, nearly three weeks later than last year I see from looking back. I must be more vigilant about leaf curl this year - I let it get a bit rampant last year and barely got any fruit, despite all the blossom.

As I'm typing this I've just noticed an email come in with the subject "You are what you eat". Tonight was bubble-and-squeak made from leftover veg and mashed potato, followed by syrup pudding with whatever I could scrape out of the bottom of a carton of clotted cream (and surely Aunt Bessie is joking when she says that's four portions!). Yes, that's about right, then.
