Tuesday 29 May 2012: Daisy Chain
Couldn't stray too far from home for a blip as I had to wait in all day for a delivery - roof bars for my Citroen. Hardly thrilling, but being able to have our huge tent packed up and on the roof means the kids will be able to actually breathe in the back of the car, which is good. Obviously.
Being stuck in meant I could blitz the house, so it's sparkly clean. I need to keep moving today - if I sit down I'll fall asleep. Living so close to a canal has it's disadvantages at this time of year. I've had a 4am alarm call from the noisy birds (Canada geese, mainly) on there three nights running. Squawk squawk squawk honk honk. Shut up.
Add to that the multiple insect bites on my poor, swollen ankle - itch, itch, itch all night. I've gone through nearly a tube of Anthisan. Aaaargh!
Isn't nature wonderful? Damn those birds and insects :-/
