Top swan

I tottered down onto the Shore in the teeth of the gale to see what I could see - not much, I thought. The Water of Leith was running very high and fast, and was extremely brown and muddy looking. Hardly any birds around at first sight - but then I noticed Old Father Swan was in the process of chasing the entire YST (Young Swan Team) back down under the Bernard St bridge. By the time I'd got to the bridge and waited to get across, he'd done so well that I could scarcely get them all in the one shot. There he is, on the left, powering back under "his" bridge, with the youngsters all milling around in the distance. I counted eleven in total.

He is the Daddy.
