Patriot

I'm not particularly patriotic. I mean I'm glad to be British and feel lucky to live here, but I'm not a flag-waving royalist or someone who paints a flag on my face at sporting events. Having says that, I'm absolutely loving the plethora of flags, bunting and everything British that's popping up everywhere you go this summer. It actually makes me wish we could have an extra holiday every year to celebrate a 'national day'. Like the Americans have 4th July and Mexico has cinquo de mayo... We don't really have any equivalent. Be nice. I'd like to see the country decked out in union jacks every summer.
