Poppy!

The first poppy is always very special. I wasn't expecting this one, as it is hidden towards the base of the plant, and I didn't notice that it was about to pop.
They are a good two or three weeks late this year, but there are at least 15 buds waiting to flower. I have high hopes that they might last more than 24 hours - they usually come out just as the wind gets bad and are blown to bits, but I may have a better chance this year.
