Today is a new day...

Jumping for Joy

We've had a great holiday day today. Port Charlotte was shrouded in mist this morning when we set out for Kilchoman. I drove which was a first for me on Islay.....7 and a half metres is quite long on single track roads, but we got there safely and with Mr Q not too much of a quivering wreck! We had our breakfast when we got there....a real plus point of the motorhome.

The sun shone beautifully and the beach was as relaxing as ever. The beach had changed quite a lot over the winter and with the recent high winds there had been a lot of movement of the sands. The old shipwreck which is visible at low tide was much more exposed than I'd ever seen it.

We cycled round to Sanaigmore and had coffee and cake at the Outback Gallery, a quick walk on the beach there and then back to Kilchoman and Machir Bay.

Mr Q had a rest, Semi- Q did some studying and I went for another walk on the beach. It was quite magnificent, the sun was glistening on the crashing waves.

We came back to Port Charlotte in the evening and travelled back down into the mist.

A really good day.
