Monday 21 May 2012: A Day in DC
Spent the day in DC doing some sightseeing with my mom. I made the mistake of taking the metro into the city which made me miserably sick. I recovered though while we browsed in the National Portrait Gallery (not as good as I was hoping it would be). We also walked to the Washington Monument and on to the White House which I haven't seen since I was about 7 years old. Another ride on the metro made me sick again so I learned a very valuable lesson for the next 7 months. I learned that my Aunt used to take my mom sight seeing all over the city when she was a little girl.
