Fun in the frog pond

Another nice day but a bit of mist around in EK to start.  Picked up B and M and we drove over to Mugdock Park on the north side of the city where we did a lovely walk, taking in Craigallian Loch and the huts at Carbeth, and viewing the monument to the 'fire' where in the 'thirties unemployed men from Glasgow and Clydebank used to congregate after walking the area.  It was a boon to the men to get out of the city and forget their situation in the countryside, if only for a day and the fire was a place of companionship.  The monument is a large stone set in a circle of stone with a legend around it.

On the way to Craigallian Loch we passed over a wee bridge on the Allander Water and there were a lot of frogs doing what frogs do at this time of year.  Just had to be my blip.

Had a lovely meal at the Winnock in Drymen, and then we drove along to Balmaha to let them see the Tom Weir statue!

Hope you all had a lovely Monday holiday.

Thanks to all of you who gave me stars and hearts, it is now on the popular pages and I do appreciate your encouragement!
