The accidental finding

The hunter

Don't be fooled by Bomble's winning looks, or lack of toothfulness. He is a vicious murderer. Today was, sadly, a Goldfinch's unlucky day.

On the other hand, he is a wild animal!

Today was actually hot! I lay in the hammock, but this time without three hundred layers on, and read a Kindle book about sugar (Sweet Poison). There was only a a slight noise from occasional lawnmower activity, and some distant music. Can't think when I last had such a blissfully lazy day.

We also had to clean out the fridge, which is a massive, unpleasant task ( I dislike frost-free fridges intensely, because the little drain often gets blocked, and water leaks out of the container at the back, which means moving everything. I would happily go back to an icebox model, if they still made them). Fortunately, Steve did most of the horrid bits. Now he is cooking Sea Bass for our Easter meal, which we somehow didn't get round to eating yesterday. It'll be ready any minute. What a star!

I mean Steve, not the fish.
