Tuesday 29 May 2012: Calf watch

Thelma and Louise road trip started with a visit to see Admiral, the retired police horse in the Black Isle.
In the neighbouring field is Imogen ( silhouette on left sporting large bump ) who is about to calf and requires checking every 3 hours.

So here we are just before midnight surrounded by the whole herd. One of which took a liking to my jeans and spent 10 mins licking my calf!!
