Cafe conversations

Chatting at the counter, debating in the stock room: another day at Transition cafe for staff and volunteers. 

There is plenty of surplus food to be turned into meals but we could do with more customers. We have had to raise prices to cover costs - are we charging too much now? On the other hand someone was heard to say 'Don't go there, it's only for poor people'. 


Similar projects  using  food 'waste' are being initiated in  other towns all over the UK and many are learning from us how to do it. It's good to be in the vanguard of this movement.
