Sgwarnog: In the Field

Ebbs and Flows

We headed south to the Furness Peninsula for a day encountering animals, and made a return journey full of detours in search of a humble chip shop. We eventually tracked one down in Haverigg, and had supper on the dunes looking over the Duddon Sands to Barrow and Walney Island.

This scene looks back up Haverigg Pool to the village, with Black Combe, the southwesternmost of the Lakeland fells, looming behind.

where the tide
meets the river
from the mountains
a land of ebbs
and flows
