Between the lines

Between the Lines

dark shadows
fall on forest floor
on those who walk
between the lines
on leafy trails
now bound by bands
of shade and sun

It was out walking on the path behind the house heading up into the woods this morning. It was wonderful just enjoying watching the squirrels play and the smelling the spring earthy aromas. I was snapping away and heard something up ahead. A large turkey stood up and shook itself awake from a nap on the forest floor. He just began preening and adjusting his feathers, totally ignoring me. It is such a gift to be free of winter snow.

For the Record,
Today came in warm and sunny, it's really spring!

My brother 's boss took him to a Red Sox Game today.

All hands healing, T is still down with a bad cold

One Boston Day
Two years ago today we nearly lost precious family members in the chaos, carnage and tragedy at the 2013 Boston Marathon finish line bombing site. Today T & I remember all those not granted that miracle and pause to remember the bravery and tenacity of the runners, spectators and our beloved city. May simple acts of kindness abound today and always as we remember those who lost so much between the lines of sun and shadow.
