Quod oculus meus videt

Last day of clearing the office before another re-organisation of desks.  This time we are going from 13 to 18 desks in the room.  When you consider that we originally had 8 staff in the room you can understand how densely occupied we will be after the weekend.

Public services have been squeezed financially over the term of this government and we are not only looking at how we can save money and do things 'more efficiently', but also how we can increase income.  Our council offices used to accommodate only staff employed by the Council, but now we rent out almost half our space to other users including the police, a library and county council staff.  And we haven't finished so our re-organisation releases another office for potential renting and other parts of the Council are to follow.  Whichever party wins this election (with the exception of the Greens) we can expect more cuts in public services.  It feels very uncomfortable on the 'inside', but I wonder if most of the public even realise.

Anyway, popped out at lunchtime with the IR camera as the sun was out, we had fluffy clouds and leaves are starting to break out on our previously bare trees.
